VICTORIA CHRISTOPHER MURRAY always knew she would become an author, even as she was taking quite an unlikely path to that destination.

Victoria originally self-published “Temptation” in 1997. “I wanted to write a book as entertaining and compelling as any of the books on the market, put God in the middle, and have the book still be a page-turner. I wasn’t writing to any particular genre. I just wanted to write about people I knew and characters I could relate to.”

In 2000 Warner Books published Temptation”. “It was a long road before my agent was able to find a publisher. However, it has truly been a blessing.” Joy, Victoria’s second novel, was released in October 2001. Touchstone books, a division of Simon & Schuster, in June 2004, published Victoria’s third novel “Truth Be Told”. Victoria’s recent novels “Grown Folks Business” (Touchstone Books/June 2005) and “A Sin and a Shame” (Touchstone Books/June 2006) were both Essence Magazine bestsellers. In July 2007 Touchstone Books a division of Simon & Schuster published “THE EX FILES: A Novel.

Victoria lives in Inglewood, California and attends Bible Enrichment Fellowship International Church. She is also a member of the Long Beach Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
