Monica Anderson
Monica is a versatile journalist, author, motivational speaker, and Doctor of Dental Surgery. Her debut novel, When A Sistah's Fed Up, is an Essence and Dallas Morning News Bestseller. She has also authored two non-fiction books: Black English Vernacular and Mom, Are We There Yet? In 1996, she became the first African-American columnist for the Arlington Star-Telegram. She was a weekly columnist for one of the leading daily newspapers in Texas, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram for seven years. Her editorials have appeared in various newspapers across the country including: the Seattle Times, the San Jose Mercury News, and the Courier-Journal of Louisville, KY. In 1999, the staff of the Fort Worth Weekly named her “Best Columnist” in Tarrant County. Dr. Moe is the former host of Perpetual Moe-tion, a weekly cable television talk show. As a third generation member of the international organization, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. this Texas native donates her time and resources to countless nonprofit endeavors in her community. She is also a member of The Divine Literary Tour, a first-of-its-kind event uniting authors from Black Greek letter organizations to share the diversity and richness of African-American literature in a cross-country tour. Moe has been the recipient of numerous awards, including: Outstanding Young Women of America, the "Outstanding Young Alumni" Award from the Alumni Association of Baylor University, the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Fort Worth Independent School District, and the Millennium Award for Medicine from Altrusa International, Inc.

Lynn HazeLynne Haze has been an integral part of the Dallas/Ft Worth radio scene for many years. A strong advocate for women supporting one another, she began W.E.B.B. (Women's Empowerment Brings Blessings) which has sponsored fitness events and discussions on subjects for women including money, family and career. Lynne has given a number of talks on her family's history of breast cancer and how attitude can make a difference. She also promoted many R&B greats as West/Southwest promotional manager for Mercury and WB Records, and served as the past president of the National Black Programmers Coalition. Lynne was born in Buffalo, New York and has a 20 year old son, Rashon. Her passions include God, music, collecting Black art, weight lifting, reading, and just enjoying life. Lynne can be heard weekdays from 9:00am-2:00pm on 94.5 KSOUL.

Sam PutneySam Putney, a Houston native, started his career at a Top 40 station in Houston, KULF, where he spent nine years before moving over to KYOK in Houston for 1 year. In 1984, Stevie Wonder brought him to L.A. to work at Stevie’s KJLH where Sam worked for four years before going to KACE, which was owned by NFL Hall of Famer Willie Davis, who also owned KYOK. Then, in 1993, Sam left KACE for K104 where he has found a happy home with Skip Murphy & Company. Sam has won numerous awards including Black Radio Exclusive Newsman of the Year, Major Market, in 1996.

Ramona LoganRamona Logan is a reporter for NBC 5. She joined the station in 1985 after working as a Weekend Anchor/Reporter/Producer at KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City, and a Consumer Reporter and Producer/Host at KAKE-TV in Wichita, Kansas. An honor graduate from Wichita State University, Ramona earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Marketing. Since her career in broadcast journalism began, Ramona has received a multitude of awards and honors for her work. Among those awards are the Texas Associated Press-Best Documentary, Texas United Press International Best Documentary, the Oklahoma Associate Press, the United Press International, a National Headliners Award for her work on documentaries, and the Edward R. Morrow Regional Award for documentary. Aside from her duties as a reporter, Ramona is a professional member of the DFW Association of Black Communicators where she volunteers on the scholarship committee. She is also actively involved in many charitable and community events including being on the board of the Jeffries Street Learning Center.

Tamara Johnson, also known as A’Dream (Attitudes Driving the Reinforcements of Extraordinary and Awesome Miracles) is a poet, songwriter, singer, and actress that lives in the Dallas area. She was born in Dallas but moved around to 6 different states before moving to Oklahoma to finish high school. A graduate of Prairie View A&M University, Tamara has worked in the non-profit arena for over 6 years. In 1999 she started her own company, For You Poetry For All Occasions, where she customizes poetry pieces for various occasions and publishes her own music. Her music reflects her deep roots in gospel but has an R&B/Neo Soul edge and can be heard on www.myspace.com/adream4u2see. She is currently the newest team member of Big Thought, one of the largest arts education non-profits in the country. There she serves as a Program Manger for Young Audiences consulting with artists and teachers.

Randy McIlwain joined NBC 5 in October 2003. Randy works as a general assignment reporter. Randy started his career in television journalism in 1990 as a photojournalist at WSEE-TV in Erie, Pennsylvania; in Dec. 1990, Randy was promoted to reporter in six months and covered city hall, crime and politics. Randy was there for the political rise of Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge, covering him through his terms as Congressman and his run for Governor. Some of his most memorable interviews from Erie included Muhammad Ali (boxer), and Former President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton, on numerous occasions while they were on the campaign trail.

In October 1997, Randy moved west to KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City, where he spent six years as an investigative and senior reporter. He earned a bachelors degree in Speech Communications from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where he attended college on a football scholarship, while lettering in each of his four years, and was awarded “All Conference” honors. Randy has received numerous awards for his journalism work, including Associated Press and Civic honors, the most recent is the 2003 Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters 1st place award for enterprising reporting for an investigation on the price of healthcare for Oklahoma City jails. He’s been a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, Urban League, Rotary International, and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. Randy enjoys weightlifting, sports, writing poetry, public speaking, swimming and traveling. Randy is a diehard, Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns fan. He is married, and has one child.

Baron JamesBaron James: Veteran broadcast journalist Clarice Tinsley and I co-anchor FOX 4 News at 5 and 10 weeknights. We were named Best Anchor Team by the Associated Press in 2003. It's also our goal to connect with you beyond the news and out in the community. I am fortunate to be able to work with many of you through various charitable and community service groups; and the list keeps growing. I encourage you to make it a point also to "give back" to society. The rewards are immeasurable! Since joining FOX 4, I have reported, field anchored, and anchored extended live coverage of the Shuttle Columbia disaster, September 11th attacks, the President Ronald Reagan national funeral, and North Texas' infamous severe weather. Maybe our paths have crossed before. I spent 4 years in Pittsburgh as weekend anchor at ABC affiliate WTAE-TV 4. Prior to "the 'burgh" I co-anchored the 5pm newscast at NBC affiliate WSFA-TV 12 in Montgomery, Alabama. I began my television broadcast career in 1988 as a morning talk show host/anchor/reporter at NBC affliate KTVE-TV in Monroe, LA, after studying premed at Xavier University of New Orleans, then wrapping up journalism school at Louisiana Tech University. Monique Ridge-Williams, a Dallas native, earned her Bachelor of Arts from Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, Texas. She later moved to California, where she met her husband of ten years and earned her Master of Fine Arts degree from the California Institute of the Arts. Monique has been featured in various screen projects including "Under One Roof" starring James Earl Jones, "Touched by an Angel" with Della Reese, "NYPD Blue," "Chicago Hope," "The Steve Harvey Show," "Primary Colors" starring John Travolta and several HBO films. Additional stage credits include "Medea," "The Heiress," "The Seagull," "Colored Museum," "Colored Girls," "Trojan Women," "Purlie, "Victorious" with Soul Rep Theatre and a host of other productions
